Pioneering the introduction of fractional ownership to the ticket industry, Season Share announced on Tuesday the launch of its unique product offering with the unveiling of the San Francisco 49ers as their initial partner. The investment arm of the five-time Super Bowl champions, 49ers Enterprises, is an equity partner in Season Share with representation on the company’s advisory board.
Season Share’s proprietary ticketing technology allows teams to offer a new solution to current and prospective multi-game ticket package purchasers who wish to split and share tickets. Season Share’s user-friendly interface will introduce fans to the concept of ‘game drafting’ through its dedicated app and website, enabling full CRM integration with the leading primary ticket providers. Game drafting allows fans to pick their own games and solving age-old inefficiencies previously unavoidable for anyone looking to share multi-game ticket packages with friends or family.
Season Share also eliminates inefficiencies for club personnel by giving teams a better understanding of attendance, share partners, and ticket usage through accessible fan data within their CRM. As an added benefit to teams throughout college and professional sports, the Season Share product has been designed to drive new sales, improve retention, and increase customer lifetime value. Requiring no upfront cost for teams to join, the product is designed to complement an organization’s existing sales and retention process.
“In a world dominated by fractional ownership and monthly memberships, the legacy tactics of ticket sales are being challenged more than ever,” said Aaron Holland, Season Share Co-Founder and CEO. “Season Share has created a technology solution to solve for this by putting the power of customization in the hands of consumers while retaining the important affinity connections that fans want to have with their teams.”
Season Share has signed a multi-year agreement to service the San Francisco 49ers. The company will be announcing its first partner in college sports later this year. During this phase, Season Share is working closely with team executives and fans to optimize the ticketing technology for mass adoption. Key features of the Season Share platform include:
● Splitting tickets with friends and other fans using private ticket groups.
● Making ticket deposits for the 2019 Season following a prompt to schedule their game draft upon the release of the 49ers schedule.
● Enabling current season ticket holders to access their 49ers account to upload existing season tickets into the app.
● Directly handling Chat and Customer Service functions within the Season Share platform.
● Handling Gameday Tickets, Forwards, and Transfers within the Season Share platform or within the fan’s existing Account Manager Account.
“Innovation is a core principle of the 49ers organization and in that spirit, we are thrilled to be the first NFL team on Season Share’s technology and to be a strategic partner on their platform that we believe can revolutionize this industry,” said Jamie Brandt, 49ers vice president of sales and service and Season Share advisory board member. “Season Share allows us to offer a truly innovative solution to both current and prospective ticket holders that can add real value to their accounts.”
“The 49ers organization has played an imperative role in bringing our technology to market,” said Holland. “We could not be aligned with a better organization or fan base and look forward to a great season.”
Season Share is able to offer its technology to teams for no upfront cost because of its direct integrations with primary ticketing platforms that enhance the speed and scalability of bringing new teams online, enabling Season Share to do so with minimal time and technical costs. All costs are based on sales performance with no upfront costs for teams to add inventory to the platform or ongoing license fees.
